Create and complete visits
Take a visit from booking through field work to completion.
Create a visit
Choose New visit, then pick a visit type you have set up (for example Call out, Follow up or PPM). You can also choose a calendar block. Next, select a saved customer and site or enter a one-off residential call-out.
Every visit needs:
- a work name (Work type on the form)
- a clear visit description
- date, time slot and duration
Selecting a template can fill the service name, description and default price for you.
Follow-up work
Use a Fixed programme when you know the number and spacing of visits in advance. Easy Days Work creates the linked visits together. They appear in a Follow-up series section on visit details.
Use an Ongoing contract when work should repeat. Choose:
- Book next when completed — schedule the first visit only; completing it books the next at your chosen interval
- Schedule until… — put every visit on the calendar through an until date (the first 12 months from the start, if the until date is further out)
Start on site
Open the visit and choose Start visit. If your settings require a site photo, capture it first.
While a visit is in progress, record the work completed and any additional notes. Extra commercial work belongs on a Sale, not in notes. Expand Sales (or use Add sale in the on-site reporting flow) to capture an extra spotted on this visit.
Trade packs may add a guided reporting workflow. On mobile, you can complete visit work without signal; it syncs when you reconnect.
Complete the visit
Choose Complete, check the time in and time out, then finish the sign-off fields shown for your trade.
Completed visits are read-only records. Expand Attachments for linked quotes, invoices and any report PDF from your trade pack. Expand Sales for extras spotted on this visit, or the sale this visit fulfils.
When the visit is linked to a quote, invoice or sale, a Job progress trail sits above the footer actions.
Reschedule or cancel
Use Reschedule to change a scheduled visit. Edit, cancel and delete actions are available from the overflow menu where permitted.
