Capture extras as a sale

Log extra or walk-up work without forcing a customer record, then generate a quote, invoice or fulfilment visit.

A Sale is extra or walk-up commercial work: an on-site upsell, someone who stops you in the yard, or work that does not need a CRM customer yet. It is not a quote, not a finding, and not a sales pipeline.

Put extras on a sale, not in visit notes.

The sale stays the hub. Generating a quote, an invoice, or a fulfilment visit does not consume it.

Where to find Sales

  • Web: Sales sits in the sidebar with Quotes, Templates and Products.
  • Mobile: More (⋮) → Sales. You can also start a sale from the Create tab.

The list defaults to Open sales. Turn that filter off to see quoted, scheduled and completed extras.

Create a sale

Open Sales → New sale, or Add sale from a visit or customer.

Customer and visit are optional. A one-off name and address is enough.

If you start from a visit, expand Sales on visit details (or use Add sale in the on-site reporting flow) and Easy Days Work prefills that visit as the source — where the extra was spotted — plus the contact details.

If you start from a customer, Easy Days Work prefills the customer and their default site. The visit is still optional.

Pick a visit template if the extra is a service you already price. An amount is optional until you generate a quote or invoice.

What you can generate

From a sale you can:

  • create a quote to send to the customer
  • create an invoice (standalone, or extra lines on the source visit’s pending invoice when the extra is same-day)
  • book a fulfilment visit to do the work later

Do these in any order, and in any combination. Same-day extras that you finish on the original visit do not need a fulfilment visit.

An amount is required to generate a quote or invoice. A quote also needs an address.

Open sales can be edited or deleted. Once a quote, fulfilment visit or invoice is linked, treat the sale as the hub and use those records.

Follow the trail

When a sale is linked, the progress trail is Sale → Quote → Visit → Invoice. The visit chip is the fulfilment visit. The source visit (where you spotted the extra) stays a separate Spotted on row.

On the source visit, expand Sales to see extras spotted there. If this visit is the extra job, the same section shows the sale it fulfils.

Promote a one-off later

If you captured a walk-up without a CRM customer, Save as customer on the sale works the same way as promoting a one-off visit. One-off sales do not appear in customer sales history until they are linked.
